Brown Bag Lunch Program
Contact: Mary Ann Welsh, rwelsh186@comcast.net
The Brown Bag Lunch Program utilizes warm and welcoming volunteers and parish staff who, using food items donated or purchased with funds from the St. Vincent DePaul Society, kindly prepare a brown bag lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, snack, dessert and beverage. These lunches are distributed Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM from the St. Anne Parish office kitchen. There are approximately 125 people fed each day. Three to four volunteers are utilized each day to prepare and serve the lunches. Volunteers can sign up to work monthly, weekly or as a substitute. Donated food items such as pretzels, crackers, cookies, bread, fresh fruit, etc. are always needed, as well as supplies such as brown bags, sandwich and snack baggies.
