Ministries of Institution

The mission of Institution involves focusing on the organizational structure of the Church through Parish Council, Finance Committee and Administration.


Parish Council

In answering God's call to lead, the Parish Council supports, promotes and builds the ministries of Institution, Sacrament, Servant, Herald and Community. Members are nominated by parishioners and approved by the Pastor or appointed by the Pastor. Through prayer and discernment, they address current challenges and plan for the future. The Council meets the second Thursday of each month. The Pastor provides leadership and guidance to the Council. Finance Council

The Finance Council prayerfully stewards the financial resources of the parish and plans for their investment in ministry growth, the buildings and grounds, or in savings. Specific responsibilities include the oversight and review of: internal controls, bookkeeping, offertory management, financial reporting, budgeting and planning, grant writing and communications to the parishioners. The council works in coordination with the Parish Bookkeeper. Accounting or business skills and/or experience are helpful. Meetings are held bimonthly. Skilled Trade

Contact: Parish Office, 717-392-2225

The parish is in need of your help. This can includes handyman skills, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, computer skills, web design and maintenance, grant writing, communications and marketing, cooking, sewing and  designing. If you have a skill or talent you would like to share with the parish, please let us know. Time commitment varies.


Grounds and Gardening

Contact: Open - Chairperson Needed - call the office at 392-2225 to inquire.

The members of this group give glory to God through their work in the gardens and other parish grounds. Gardeners work as a group for spring or fall cleanups and also on their own when their schedules allow. Responsibilities include trimming, pruning, weeding, edging and planting. The group is also responsible for the design of the gardens. New workers are needed and welcome. Please call the Parish Office to offer your time and talent for this purpose.
